About This Course

Our foundation year modules are specifically designed to provide the extra support and skills necessary to help you start your journey in higher education, ensuring you complete your full law degree with confidence. After this foundational year, you will progress to the first level of the full degree course.At the beginning of Level 6, you will have the opportunity to select a degree pathway that aligns with your career aspirations, whether that’s the SQE, Bar, or International Bar. Workshops will be provided to detail each pathway, along with guidance and support from our team to help you make an informed decision.

Pathways Overview

SQE Pathway

This pathway is tailored for those aiming to qualify as solicitors in the UK. It imparts the essential knowledge and skills needed to successfully attempt SQE1, while also allowing you to broaden your understanding through a variety of elective modules.

Bar Pathway

Designed for students who wish to qualify as barristers, this pathway includes EU Law, one of the foundational subjects required by the Bar Standards Board. You will have opportunities to expand your knowledge through additional elective modules.

International Bar Pathway

With a focus on international law, this pathway is ideal for students interested in practicing law outside of the UK. It features a set syllabus without optional modules and concludes with a Legal Dissertation module. Law degrees are highly respected across various sectors due to their emphasis on critical thinking, effective communication, and presentation skills.
